NSCC BURSARIES/AWARDS
HIGH SCHOOL ENTRANCE AWARDS
Eligible grade 12 students planning to attend NSCC next year are encouraged to apply for one 26 entrance awards (two per campus) to recognize outstanding students entering a certificate or diploma program. These awards financially support students who demonstrate outstanding leadership in their communities as well as academic achievement. High school entrance awards are tuition waivers equal to the regular tuition cost of a full-time NSCC certificate or diploma program. The entrance awards application deadline is in March.
To be considered, you must have:
- Applied to and been accepted into a full-time program at NSCC;
- Received a passing grade in all high school courses, with a minimum academic average of 75% (average calculation is based on top 5 marks from grades 11 and 12);
- Paid the non-refundable NSCC tuition deposit
- Be entering NSCC directly from a Nova Scotia high school (exceptions only for those who have been on wait-lists since high school graduation with no other educational pursuits in the interim).

Donald R. Sobey Bursary
Each year, the Donald R. Sobey Bursary Program awards bursaries valued at $2500.00 to students entering NSCC on a full-time basis. To be eligible, applicants must be referred by a community organization or law enforcement agency, be planning to enroll in a full-time program at the College and have unmet financial need.
